In 2020 Wandsworth Council did a trial of safer streets around five primary schools in the borough. The plan was to close the streets temporarily in the morning and at the end of the school day. Schemes at two more schools, Oasis Academy and Hornsby House, are also currently suspended. Proposals for two more, Swaffield Primary and St Joseph’s, won’t be progressing at the moment.
