In response to not getting planning permission, HS2 Ltd chose to appeal. As a result the case went before the Court of Appeal and both sides had to provide evidence. Hillingdon Council stood by their decision to stop the work. The court agreed with the Council’s stance and recently ruled in their favour. That means the plan will need to go back to the drawing board and Colne Valley will be safe for now.
