In July 2016 Amplio Developments purchased a 35,000 square foot art deco warehouse on the Acton/Shepherds Bush border in the London Borough of Ealing. The developers had big plans that would transform it into a mixed use site featuring new homes and commercial space.
The plans were revealed towards the end of last year when the developer applied for planning permission. According to them the site will ultimately become home to a 49,500 square foot scheme. This includes 39 flats and 11,500 square feet of commercial space.
Planning permission for the project was granted in the middle of December. This means the project can progress in 2017, creating the new homes and commercial spaces for businesses. The regeneration will transform the site, bringing some crucial redevelopment to a popular part of Ealing.
The new homes will benefit from their great location. There are a huge number of amenities on offer in each direction. Shepherds Bush and Kensington are located to the east, Acton and University of West London are on the western side, Wembley and Wormwood Scrubs are to the north, and finally Chiswick House and Gardens as well as the Thames are to the south. Transport links in each direction are really good.
Ealing is a popular location for buyers and renters at the moment thanks to its maturing property market. New flats could prove to be very popular, both for people looking to get on the market and as investment options.
