During the month of March, property developers hosted a topping out celebration in Nine Elms, Battersea. The ceremony was to commemorate the introduction of 200 low rent houses to the community. The St Williams development, taking place at Prince of Wales Drive in the Wandsworth Borough, is a unified undertaking. The two parties involved are the Berkley Group and National Grid.
What does the scheme involve?
The Battersea scheme will consist of 229 housing association structures for joint ownership and low price rent. The region can expect as many as 955 new houses. Residents shall begin moving in as early as 2019, with the development itself having a 2025 finish.
The project also offers local employment. It has created a total of 370 construction jobs during this time. Upon completion, there will be some permanent positions available.
Apart from what’s already been mentioned, the project shall include retail and food units, a cafe, a nursery, and a Gym Group complex. In addition, there will be 65,000 sq ft worth of office space and £34.4m of Community Infrastructure Levy handouts. At the end, this should prove to be one of the most exciting areas of Battersea to both live in and visit.
At Finefair, we don’t simply limit ourselves to offering the best estate management Wandsworth has to offer.
