Canning Town in the London Borough of Newham is the focus of a huge £3.7 billion regeneration. This is a sign of the wave of investment and development heading eastward from the centre of the city. As part of the project two new town centres are being created in the area, one on each side of the A13. In total around 10,000 new homes will be created too. Continue reading

Collier’s Wood in Merton has many attractions
Collier’s Wood is a fantastic, mostly residential area in the London Borough of Merton. It was previously woodland but was cleared in the 19th century, allowing development. The area is still very green though, particularly with Wandle Park, Wandle Meadow Nature Park, and Collier’s Wood Recreational Ground. New licensing requirements for landlords in Lewisham were introduced in February
On 11th February the Borough of Lewisham announced it was to go ahead with new Additional licensing for landlords. For the next five years owners of HMOs above commercial properties in the area will have to have an additional license when they meet certain obligations. Hayes could be one of the hottest areas for property investement in Hillingdon in 2017
Hayes is a town in Hillingdon with a lot of history and could become one of the biggest property hotspots in 2017. The area is situated in an affordable area of North West London but currently has a relative lack of transport links to other parts of the capital. The London Borough of Havering recently joined other local authorities in the capital looking to introduce a new licensing scheme regarding landlords. The aim is to drive up standards and to protect tenants from being taken advantage of.
