The plan is to generate as much “genuinely affordable” housing for the area as possible. The plans for the site even include new shops at the bottom of the development. They will front onto Whitmore Road.

At the moment, there are 96 flats on the estate. Tenants support the plans as a whole and will also continue to pay “personalised rents” that are based on their means upon their return. Dolphin wishes to move the tenants to its new Kingsland Fire Station development flats in the mean time.
